You can see 'Cirque Dreams' at Trump but it's nothing like 'O' in Vegas. Shows: I don't think any of the 'in house' shows in AC are at the level of Vegas. However, IMO the gambling options are adequate between the AC casinos. Video poker has more options in Vegas as well. No BJ surrender in AC, No 100xs craps odds. However, in AC you're luck if there's one 10 dollar table with 15 usually being the minimum. You have Stephen Starr's buddhakan in Caesars and Bobby Flay's restaurant in the Borgata (which has an identical menu to his Vegas restaurant).Ĭasinos: I think in Vegas you can get more low limit table games (esp on the old strip). Restaurants: I think in the last 10 years the celebrity chef's have really upped the ante for food at AC. However, I think if you're coming from the east coast the cost of a flight to Vegas evens that out. (we paid 460 a night for a Waterfront Tower room in Harrahs for the 3rd and 4th). I think the prices in AC (esp during the summer on weekends) get a little out of hand. I think a nice room at the Water Club or Borgata compares nicely with what the Bellagio has to offer. Hotels: Just like Vegas you have your range of Hotels. Here's my take based on what I've seen at both places: I've been to Vegas twice (last time was in Spring 2007). My wife and I go to AC about 2-3 times a years (We're in our early 30s if that makes a difference). I just came back from an Atlantic City trip from 7/1-7/5.
